I'm watching with some amusement threads confusing goons with bros. It's easy to make mistakes like this though; in fact, it's pretty difficult to identify the players without a scorecard.

So here's my humble suggestion - identify yourselves. Give the rest of us a list of goons and a list of bros. By implication, anyone not listed will not be defended by your villages - and the rest of us do not need to negotiate with your leaders if we catch one of them in malfeasance. Also, perhaps there will be fewer threads accusing "goons" and "bros" of actions done by the other, or by outsiders.

You might start by identifying villages and their leaders. The threads in "in congress assembled" are very confusing. Is "South Brofrica" a village? Is it the same as "Brotopia"? Same name at different times? Is Atheuz prominent in South Briofrica? is Pumpkin? Is Pumpkin in fact affiliated with Dun Goonheim? Is Dun Goonheim the same as Gooncastle? Are these, as I believe, different from Old Goonheim, which has been defunct for weeks? Is Delamore the leader of Gooncastle? Dun Goonheim? What names do these people play under, as distinguished from those they post by?

And yes, I can perhaps identify goons' in-game names by checking runestones in their claims, assuming they don't live inside whatever village fortifications you have. That's great if I'm following a clue, and their hearth is in their claim - not so useful when I'm trying to understand a forum thread, or wondering whether a person making threats really will be avenged by one or other village, should I decline to be intimidated.

[Edit - re-reading some of those threads, I see Atheuz is the leader of South Brofrica and Delamore the leader of Dun Goonheim.]

EDIT: Mind you, this is a moot point now that we're ACTUALLY strong enough to defend ourselves, but I've personally been trying to lay low at my personal claim to keep people from fucking me over just because I'm a goon (it hasn't worked, but still).

Hmm, you've been prominent in the forums as a goon from something like the day after JTG's Goon-leader character was killed, the goons moved off the land JTG had stolen from me and my friends, and Jon took the opportunity to kill as many goons as he could catch, not distinguishing between those who had attacked him earlier (and their alts) and random newbies from SA who'd been unfortunate enough to settle with the other goons.

Of course that doesn't mean we know what name(s) you play under, but the truth is it's the forum names that matter most to me.

Yes. As for the confusion on the village name: Brotopia is to us as Old Goonheim is to Goonheim. I could mark it on the maplib if it's absolutely necessary. It is not where we currently reside though, and South Brofrica is the official name/village. Goons use "Brotopia" sometimes because it's easier to remember I think. Really only bros tend to make the distinction.
