Sausage magnet (taking food off a table bug)

I was using Cow Chorizos to finish off FEP bars. Later on, I slaughtered a bull and made more chorizos, and I went to grab the remainer from my table and stow them all away.

The table was cluttered with a bunch of other kinds of food as well, so I tried to shift-click just the chorizos, but they just moved to a different space on the table. It only happens while not seated at the table, but removing them makes them jump back onto the table. My bagels and blue cheese were similarly stuck. Scrollwheel moving works normally.

I am reminded of seedbags, but tables don't have any reason to act like seedbags.

@OP - I know exactly what you mean. I've noticed this before, but never thought to suggest it as a bug. It would be helpful to have it fixed though...

i'd definitely call it a bug. it's not critical or anything but things should behave consistently.

If the table is full, it probably works like a seedbag and transfers one item to your inventory since there's no space to move, then it runs around the table while you attempt to catch it and put it in your backpack.

Bumping to say there is a way to do this. If you sit in a chair and to the feast button, you can shift click, as long as you have the fork mouse.

It doesn't work because you have a fork mouse, it works because you are sitting down.

It shouldn't be limited to only 'when seated' however. It's a big, many of us have noticed it, I guess we all assumed the devs just knew about it because it was so obvious. Nice to see a thread though, would be cool to see this fixed as I often use one character to sit and feast and have the other run around and put food on the table.

I don't get it, the bug only affects people that try to take food from the table via shift-click, not putting it on it.
