Err...What exactly does that have to do with my digging?
Well they obviously couldn't have the old system of small soil nodes. Now soil nodes are huge (well, it seems as though the whole world is now covered in higher Ql soil) otherwise farming would suck.
I was gonna ask what the difference was between hard and soft, then i realized what kind of ppl read these forums. >.>

Oh.
Well then, I suppose that was less of a bonus than expected.

On an unrelated note, I am a proud member of the Church of Sabinate. Gib monies and don't get repotted!

Lol. If you actually want to know, this is the way I think of it (hope I'm not wrong). If e.g. your item is higher than the "hardcap", the item Ql will always equal the hardcap. For example if crop Ql was hardcapped by soil Ql, then planting a Ql 400 crop in Ql 20 soil would make the resulting crop Ql 20. Softcap is the same concept but takes the mean difference between the softcap and the actual Ql, so (400+20)/2=210 Ql

Good to know, thanks!
