ALRIGHT
THIS ONE ISNT EXPLAINED ON THE FLOWCHART I SWEAR

Error:
C:\hh-windows-32bit>java -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se
'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

C:\hh-windows-32bit>pause
Press any key to continue . . .

Content of run.bat:
java -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se
pause

File Sizes:
haven-res.jar: 16.7 MB (Alternate avatar version, I think)
haven.jar: 697 KB

This one's answered in the first post of the main Gilbertus thread - please read through to the bottom of the first post and follow the instructions there regarding the full path of your Java executable -- it should be in the tshooting thread first post but, well, Mqrius has been gone a while.

You won't be saying that in a week or two when you realize how many abandoned homes there are. A 30 second boat ride south of my village literally bring you to the ghetto. There's abandoned claims everywhere with the occasional newb taking things and raiders patrolling. It reminds me of Detroit.

The " are important, since Windows doesn't deal well with spaces in paths but insists on default directories containing spaces.

... Just posting cuz I found something weird.
I have a 64bit OS, with a 32bit Java. Doesn't make sense. But downloading the 32bit Version and modifying the run.bat to:

Code: Select all

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin/java" -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar

moltke.seatribe.se
pause

Fixed the error for me completely. Doubt you need the "pause" anymore, but that was me just playing it safe.

I'm gonna pose a question here, what warrants this not being a sticky?

It seems fairly important, and a good portion of ppl use this client.
