Not fun anymore

I'm having a blast right now....the only thing I'd change is there being more people as I'm all alone on my homestead right now and the only other people I've seen are either raiders or in what seems to be permanently logged off and asleep.

I just want to chime in and add my voice to the people complaining about the initial grind. I can't see any advantage for either the players or the game developers to having to grind useless tasks for real-life hours before you're able to get any useful skills and do anything that's actually fun. Why on earth is it designed that way, and what could possibly be harmed if new players started with a set of basic skills instead of having to dig sand for six hours to buy them? Select the most critical of the low-level skills for "fun" activities and give them to new characters

This game is a challenge, an unforgettable one. Just consider it an exciting fact that you are here for the building up of a long, and wild party. Funny, the wars breaking out now are only a fraction of what this world is gonna be.

OK update...Well I took a few days off and hardly played got my self and my head straight..Got over the frustration of having to start over again..(which I have to add a new person would not know what it is like to have a character who could before stand toe to toe face to face with a bear and not worry about dieing and then go back to being a noobie to say..)

I did a little farming and straightening out my living area and even got out of that boat and walked around a bit..was very helpful..

As I stated before I LOVE THIS GAME..I was just letting the starting point bring me down..Ready to really get going now ..

there is still alot of things that need to fixed and I ma sure when they have time J&L will fix those things..So until then we just have to over look them and play the game..Cause we all know how hard it is to walk away from this game..

I managed before to make it past all odds and I will do it again just have to keep my can do attitude and not let the frustration get to me..
