Cant long in with either char to either location

HnH starts up normally, at character select gives me the option to spawn at hearth or last location. Either option with either of my 2 chars results in a momentary flicker, then crash and error message. One of my characters was in a boat on the water at the time, so i also tried spawning at hearth, but no go. i looked at the thread for this specifically, but it doesnt seem to quite be the same problem. Running windows XP and Java is updated.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling java, and that worked. thank you :3
