The whole concept of merging threads is insanely confusing to me in the first place. I've never been on a forum where it's standard practice.

When I'm in-game, and I walk to the right(according to main screen, not mini map), the mini map shows that I'm going NE.

So while trying to locate myself on this overall map, would it be like showed in the minimap, or more in line with what the screen shows?

Tried to word this as best i can.

i found my area, but noone who uploads maps has found my house yet now i'm in doubt if i will and give my location away

Those maps and the minimap are the same thing, North=Up, East=Right, etc.
The game field is rotated 45 degrees clockwise, so North=Upper-Right, East=Lower-Right, etc.

On a totally unrelated note, I did a monster upload of all my maps (1000+ unique tiles, over 50mb) a few hours ago to both sites, it showed up on http://algeralith.info/HavenMap/ right away but i don't see it on http://havenmap.dyndns.org/haven/gmap/map.html or it's highscore list... what's up?

i just uploaded and now its in the map, great speed

I was ironing out some bugs until earlier... but if you upload now and it still doesn't appear on the Google Map or the highscore list a bit later, it might be that it could not be connected to the current world yet.
I'm about to head to the south-eastern grids, so if any uploads were in that area, they should appear once the connection is made.
