I don't think you understand what I was saying.

As of right now we've got 3 world maps and they're all different and at different levels of completion. By fragmenting the mapping and not having one singular site that everyone uploads their maps to, you basically end up with 3 inferior products and a lot of headache. Alger's map is like 10x more complete than Mqrius', for example. Why would I want to use Mqrius' when Alger is already way ahead?

It would have proven your point much better and also proven you really do understand how to fight people and not only how to slaughter helpless sheep.

I'm all for picking one main map to go with, but Mqrius has already made it evident that he doesn't really intend to maintain his map at all. At least the others have been diligent in working with people to make sure that their map is up and running correctly.

Than next time write something like "maybe if the current active mappers could work together it might be possible to create a single world map."
See the difference?

... Moving on ...

Please drop messaged like that in the mapping topic you have decided to use/support/whatever.
This topic is not a "what map will you use?" Poll.
Thank you.

I really appreciate the support, but cobaltjones has a point. When I reset the map system, I wasn't aware of two other maps being in place already. I was kind of hoping that my matching would work unattended for a while, but it seems it's already broken... which is too bad.

I understand that Alger is currently doing pretty well, but has no villages or coordinates? Perhaps he could use some of my frontend code for that, and keep his own backend. Or adapt my uploader tool to use for himself.
Anyway, the source is public, so anyone is free to use that.

Also explain to him how to name villages. =D

Thank you, that's all I meant by my original post. Hopefully he's able to look at your source and adapt coordinates and naming.

At least you gave it a try.

Just to clear things up.
What do you plan to do with the your current W4 attempt. In its current state is not really word keeping around I think.
Assuming you keep World 3 around (for some time) for history sake. (also potential live example of the source in action.)

True, it's not really useful as it is, and I don't think I'll fix it. I guess I'll take it down, and leave world 3 online.
If anyone is interested in the full map data of world 3, he should say so, I might be able to fix something up. If not, that's fine as well.
