Mining nerf?

Post by Anaklumos »

I just noticed that mining got a x4 LP nerf, what was the purposing behind that? I admit it needed a bit of a nerf, but that kinda killed it, grinding buckets is more effective now.

Sounds about right. The way it was previously implemented a person with 150+ STR could amass 300LP per second simply by idling at a weak wall.

People will grind regardless of the "number". Less reward for the same more amount of work. Games arent meant to be rewarding or fun just a "job" I guess. And I never mined or farmed buckets before this is just my general overview on the direction the game is going in.

This.

The game's going in the direction where there's more grind. LP rates are being decreased while alternative, more enjoyable methods of grinding are being neglected. It's a slippery slope.

While this doesn't really affect me personally (I don't even "play", just chat in-game and do some labor for the village), I do sympathize with those affected, and I can see how this game has gotten a lot less fun.

I had a glimpse of hope when they reduced animal spawn and increased the lp for animals. Seeing a bear made my eyes sparkle with joy and that 36k only added to it (how a game should be). But then they of coursed nerfed it so killing a bear is only a fraction of the fun and rewarding as it once was. Another example of this would be the farming nerf, regardless of your soil Q it will get to the point where you only get +2 instead of 5, less rewarding less fun. And I am not discussing the balance of the game just the overall enjoyment of it

I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do in the game now.. I took up the profession of mining and now it's just grinding :x

It would have proven your point much better and also proven you really do understand how to fight people and not only how to slaughter helpless sheep.
