I think it would be cool not having to set up a town just to settle down in for the night. If you were just a traveler and not trying to build a Civilization and just want to find other ones then you should be able to set up camps for the night so when it gets dark you can set up a camp with your Buddies or just all by your self. You would need Branches to dig in the the String tent, String to hold it up, and Linen Cloth for the base of it, Hope you all like the Idea.

I agree. We need a cheaper and less permanant form of housing, especially with the new world coming up. Transportable housing is even better.

What benefit would this give over logging out?

Alright so the consensus of this thread is "we want tents" so give us tents. No, tents would not give a benefit over logging out, but logging out while in a tent could maybe possibly if it's compatible with the code restore HHP slowly?
