Deep impassible water

Post by Vattic »

currently (although I may be wrong) the water in this game is always ankle deep. In future generations of the map I would like to see deep water that you cant walk though, I'd suggest that you work it so that most areas with water has a shelf that is shallow and that you can walk on but at a certain distance you cant go any further.

You could even then add swimming which would drain stamina of course. And even boats. This would make little island villages possible and also water could then be used as a form of defence like it is in real life.

I definitely have to agree with this here- in fact I suspect it's planned. Of course, boats could be really tough, and bridges would probably also have to be included...
Surprise.

What about also waste deep water, that limits speed to crawling speed? Would make it seem less like a drop off.
