Admittedly the much loved String fix was just proposed, prior to that the best proposal was to just chop off a lot of LP from the Bucket. We would probably see other carpentry items like wine racks and torch posts become the new grind items unless something similar was done to them all, either strings, stones, bones or other common materials would need to be added to any item which is currently made of just boards. Bone Glue might also be a possibility but I would like to see it produced from boiling hide straps OR bone so that it would be that much more available.

Well bucket grinding needs to be fixed but fixing that is just temporary and there will be another bandwagon LP source. What is needs to be done is to discourage total grinding for LP but not restrict it (which is difficult as it sounds especially do the oxymoronic definition) .

Solution for grinding?

Simple:
Remove LP from game.
Make every skill to gain some kind of it's own experience: more you use one skill more u will gain skill value: more u melee better u become in melee combat. It's like FEP, but each skill has it's own bar.
Buying skill? Well every skill up gives gives u some kind of points and when u gather enough of those points you can buy skill for example: candle making, farming,...

Suggested many times and turned down.

You would need to elaborate on that because it is sounding like an alternative LP for skill gain only. I'd say no from what I see.

There must be a reason because of which it hasn't been fixed. Would be nice to hear from J/L about this reason.

With the sheer volume of threads dedicated to this problem, I doubt they could've missed it.
