I agree that the ladder/exit point is dumb and should probably be fixed (tons of little errors like that in this game make it seem really unpolished), but even if you would exit on the side of the ladder you'd still be stuck "in" the gate unless it were open at all times.

It's not a glitch it's the same with every enterable structure ever. You're supposed to actually be smart and know where the exit point is and leave it open so you don't get stuck like a doofus.

In his defense, the gate is facing the ladder. The exit point is counter-intuitive.

He could have invested 30 blocks of wood on extending the palisade a bit on all sides. Looks too tighty like this.

And I'm pretty sure the exit point used to be at the ladder as well.

Oh, and I thought I went crazy for a moment remembering it was on the north side last world
