The unfortunate event that led up to my death...
I just got to 60 MM had a q38 bow 30Q arrows in a quiver of 32 of them, had just made q32 boar tusk helm for me in my friend and were were ready to go hunting.....we killed 4 the first trip, killed a 5th outside our claim everything was going great! Up the river he finds another boar we hit for 200 it starts running i jump off the boat start chasing and put my bow away. I get up on swing for 77 and it keeps going running after for a another sec, all the sudden we run by a bear and I'm thinking "holy shit" i knew i couldn't out run the bear not after chasing that boar for so far.... I start heading back and it hits me once (only had 164hp) misses the next 3 times! I'm think i may get away...nope next hit levels me....and I starting praying to a god who doesn't care about my virtual character (apparently) all the sudden it chops down on me and am returned to character creation and get the most nauseous feeling in my stomach I've had in a long time.....go to remake, only 15 MM 12 survival 13 exploration......*vomit* all that work gone.....because a freaking boar ran me past a BEAR FML!

That really sucks OP. Also if you stand still outside the boat the animal usually comes back and wont attack, it just sort of humps your leg.

I've died 6 times since world 1...that "feeling" is quite interesting, never felt it in any other game. Which shows why I still play after all this time. I know that feeling well and laughed my ass off when I read the "Nauseous feeling in my stomach" remark. When I was peace-nik murdered in world 2 I actually had a panic attack, a real one, like where I had to get up and walk around all light headed and slightly about to vomit...It felt so "real". Not many games can get you so engrossed that you can actually feel it in RL.dewru wrote: it chops down on me and am returned to character creation and get the most nauseous feeling in my stomach I've had in a long time.....
Funniest story EVER for me in the game was back in world 2 when we had an embassy in the ROB. It was right near the stone circle and vending area and I would hide in a little patch of grapes right outside our embassy cabin door when I was bored to jump out at passers by. This guy walked by heading to the vending stands and I ran out at full speed on him...he froze for a sec while I laughed and then he came on area chat after about 4-5 minutes and said he was leaned back in his chair with his feet up on the desk and had just kicked his monitor right off the desk onto the floor and nearly choked on his coffee as he flipped backwards off the chair, it scared him so bad...LMAO... he said he was still shaking as he thought for sure his ass was dead. Now that's a game that rocks when you can be so connected to your hearthling that shite like that happens. I still tear up laughing about that incident.

And YES. The feeling about death in this game is something I have never experienced in any other game. I think it is very close to the RL fear of death.
