Are you referring to the ability to choose whether or not to gamble for LP? If so, I do agree with that. I do see now that I probably should have made that a bit more clear in my post.Potjeh wrote:If games are added, people can handle gambling on their own. Payment shouldn't be enforced by the game, since trade isn't either.

Why would you gamble for LP? Items are the obvious bets of choice here.

Perhaps either or, then?Potjeh wrote:Why would you gamble for LP? Items are the obvious bets of choice here.
I still think gambling for LP would be quite interesting to do.

This would take hours of programming. A update like this would be a pointless waste of time if you ask me. Instead of wasting time on this, some of the more gamebreaking bugs could be patched, like some paliside glitches.

It's just a suggestion. I never really figured it should be any sort of immediate update but it would be a neat thing to have in the H&H environment at some point. I wouldn't say it would take "hours" of programming, necessarily. Of course, I can't say for sure & although I don't know enough about you I am going to guess more then likely you can't say for sure either. I suppose in the end the time investment in relation to programming would depend on how exactly they program it..daxslayer wrote:This would take hours of programming. I think the big time issue here wouldn't be on the "programming" time, but the graphics that would be needed to be made in order for it to work out and look awesome.
I figure if I prop it up now and check back in a year about it, it will possibly be implemented! lol, and if not. Whatever. Either way. Gambling+Cheat Scents=Epic.
TLDR=read bolded text then. haha.

Too much potential for exploitation there.ViciousGamer04 wrote: Perhaps either or, then?

Gambling for LP? Don't like it. There shouldn't be a way to transfer LP from one active character to another.
Summonable cheating scents? wtf? How is that a criminal act?
Based on what we've got in the game now, we can already play checkers:
1. Dig out a cellar or two to get 24 Huge Boulders and turn half into Runestones (any other two sets of 12 liftable 1x1 objects would work too)
2. Decorate an 8x8 area with a checkerboard using Lay Stone and/or Lay Brick
3. Use the "Lift" command to move pieces
To play chess we just need 1x1 white and black chess pieces carvable from huge boulders.
But I guess technically we can just use different liftable objects... it would be annoying to remember, though.
edit: another (easier) way to play checkers in haven:

Not any worse then features already within H&H.Potjeh wrote:Too much potential for exploitation there.ViciousGamer04 wrote: Perhaps either or, then?

Plus, there would be a "limitation" as mentioned in the post, as to what that limitation would be is hard to say for sure.
What's wrong with gambling for LP? As long as proper measures were put in place I don't see a problem with it.Phaen wrote:Gambling for LP? Don't like it. There shouldn't be a way to transfer LP from one active character to another.

If you cheated in the "Ol' west" you would probably get shot. If you cheated way wayyy wayyy back when, you would probably get clubbed to death. And yeah.. you could, but that would defeat the whole purpose of what the intention was.
