If you can figure out where you live, lots of rangers work cheap or pro bono. Bored rangers are a newbies best friends. I advise you to join a village for now. Once you're better acquainted with the game and survival, if you still want to embark on your own then do so. Having a bit of knowledge under your belt and some friends to help you if things get hairy helps a lot.

I think this game is done for on my part. Not because I died, but because the asshole is on Stin's charter stone killing people. It's impossible to do anything.
