this must be.
otherwise its to easy to kill all that bears for bowman's.
i hope u know all the bear traps. bears have to bunch that fances down !!

than they destroy 1 fence. so they can pass the wall. a bear cant go through that hole cuz he is to big.
u shoot a bear, run into that fence hole and be safe. now u can easy kill every bear.
thats lame. so i think bears should attack and destroy fances and pallisade to avoid "tricks" like that.

So? Then someone builts a palisade or wall near a place where bears use to spawn. Same effect. If you think further and bears shall be able to rip apart these as well it becomes pretty exploitable luring the teddy to some..let's say annoying person and let him go berserk...

Well you'd have to be inside the walls for the bear to try breaking through, so you wouldn't be able to do it to some annoying person unless you could get inside. And even then, the bear would only really attack you after breaking through, so not much of a point for that exploit.

its a little bit more harder to place a pallisade (~300 blocks) than to place a fence (some branches) for that bear trap.

Then 2 things
1 - Bears should be able to destroy things same as players can, and I reckon they'll have a lot of strength (not enough to smash down a palisade wall quick enough
2 - Bears should recognise when people are reasonably out of reach (it would take them hours to smash down a palisade, so not worth chasing the player), in which case they switch to retreat mode until they're sufficiently far from the player and then de-aggro
