Dear Devs ... WHY!?

After some thinking i came to conclusion this is a feature not a bug used to keep animals population in check.

Today i had a lil' fight with mr Bear after i spanked his ass few times he was like "omg gotta run" but hey hes soo fucking fast i couldn't even keep up with him ( no i did't break the combat)
after he barely left my screen battle stoped and mr Bear went ninja mode missing (could not find him on area with 5 minimaps radius from the spot i last saw him)
So here is Question.. Why do monsters despawn? Why do they even despawn if they are in combat with me? Why are they soo fast that human can't keep up with them if they disappear the moment i don't see them on my screen? - Do you expect people to break the combat 3 times in one fight with bear? if yes then why do i loose lp that way?

No trolling please just constructive ideas to why it is like now and how to fix that "issue" please.

With how populated the world is these days, it's highly unlikely that animals ever despawn. If I'm assuming correctly, animals are only despawned if the map is unloaded from the server. A map will not get unloaded from the server unless it has had no player interaction for 10+ minutes. You probably just lost him.

he was running toward prepared spot where my friend was waiting unfortunately he just disapeard in the middle of his way there nowhere to bee seen in radius of 5 minimaps from the spot ... and i scaned that area with ender zoom+ ctrl-h so no way i lost it

this has happened to me before. was chasing a bear down (after it killed one of our new villagers) and sweet vengeance was taken from me when it de-spawned at random.

i have had animals despawn super super close to me. basically went off screen to get rocks and all but 2 disappeared. it was 5 deer and they were trapped by a ridge, the only way they could have gone anywhere is by comming by me. so they can despawn immediatly.

I confirm that animals despawn _very_ quickly and this is annoying as hell.
