Give animals stamina

Please make animals have finite stamina, at least where movement is concerned. It is very annoying to chase a fox halfway across the map, and downright insulting that I have to stop and drink tea to even keep up.

2nd'd. I'm not saying a human being should be able to chase down a animal all the time.. but really it's silly we get tired so fast and animals don't.

Although bears i chase stop after a few miles of chasing.

Humans are actually one of the greatest endurance walkers/runners on earth. In fact, the first form of human hunting was to simply hike after a gazelle, startling it into running whenever it tried to rest, until it collapsed of exhaustion and could be killed easily. While we share this technique with a few animals- notably coyotes and similar- humans are the best.
Surprise.

I saw a documentary on this, one guy would hunt with only a spear for the kill when the animal finally collapsed, he had to track it a lot because it would sprint off out of sight and he would only be jogging or short sprint to startle it.
so in that case H&H is the same except we have no way to track, we can catch up to them and continue the fight but only if we get lucky to go in the right direction and find it.
so a limit on animal stamina like the OP said plus a way to track the animal, i think that would be cool.

otherwise...since they only run when they are almost dead...make them run slowly cos they are injured? :\

It would be nice if animals were slowed down by swamp as well.

If you hurt a animal and it causes it to bleed all hunters know you follow the small drops of blood to your kill now this doesnt mean it will be dead but it will have stopped. Usally animals run full speed when struck but a arrow or a bullet and this forces more life blood from the hole slowly killing the animal. Seeing how this is a real thing i figure it shouldnt be to hard to implement a animal drops a blood splatter what every 1.5-3 seconds? That way anyone whom tries to kill a animal and it runs wont be cursing themselves for loseing it because they forgot to cage it in.
