Impish Village Raid

village Impish decided that it would be a good idea to raid us (village: Catch-22) during the time when our new recruits area was being built, we took a while because we wanted to set up a double wide gate for an oxcart. They took a bunch of the newb recruits gear that they brought with them, missing that one of our guys actually left the keys to our village literally -next- to the houses they raided in the oxcart (dumb of our newbie characters, but embarassing for a bunch of raiders). We decided to shrug it off for now, but they mined their way into our cave system and came up our mine hole when we were AFK. So finally, I log in and they're all already running around, I make a run for our gate and head out, closing the door behind me. They, of course, already have the keys now and chase me. After (literally) 5 minutes of chasing on ground, during which I stopped to fill up on water, stood around drinking with them punching me, and then ran again... twice. Finally I ran out of water and stamina, with no water, they caught up and took another 15~20 seconds to catch me darting between trees getting them stuck. And then I died.

It should be noted that "r34d3rsci" was there, someone I had added as a kin earlier to make trades with, but he never actually made any trades.. probably just asked questions to probe us for information about our stuff. He apologized for killing me, as if that meant anything, he had plenty of chances to just let me walk off.

So what did we do? respawn, and kick ass. Now that our core players were all online, it was all over

I started taking screenshots -after- we already killed 2 of them near our village, they tried to run like I did, but they're full of fail and were quickly caught. This picture is their LS, r34d3rsci, whose gear I'm currently wearing.


Another of their noobs, also already scavenged for gear. We thought they took all our armors and such, turns out they thought they could load up our oxcart and run off with all at once. Obviously they never got the chance , but not only that.. they slaughtered all the bulls/cows! how did they plan to cart it out?


We walked back to through the mines to their base, and killed the noobs milling around along with the cows. Their reborn LS is trying to deny that he raided us, or something, doesn't really make much sense since we have an entire base full of scents leading straight to them lol.



Oh noes, two more noobs try to attack us.. they didn't even break a defense bar , I guess the cavalry isn't much better.. Plus they tried to deny knowing what was going on again, jeez it's like they think we're just going to ignore the scents we have .


"lol u cn't gt vre hr!" Moral of the story: having a crossroads hidden behind a cheese rack makes your door pointless! Who wudathunkit?

And now, what does this have to do with you, the forum reader, trolls, PKers, villagers, and whatnot? Well, we're going to punch a nice big hole in their wall and make sure anyone else who wants to see justice, or maybe make a little of their own injustice, can do so at their leisure! *edit* sorry for all the pictures, if it's too much I can scale them down and thumbnail them later. I'll put up more later, we destroyed a few of their inner quarters, but luckily for them, some of their cowards weren't dumb enough to come out and fight us so a few personal palisade areas are still safe, for now.

How many people raided you initially? I have always known impish to be a peaceful polish village and good trade partners never causing trouble. It would be a shame to cause them this much grief over one or two people. :/

Yes, only 3 of their stronger characters came to raid us AFAIK including their LS, but there could have been more I fled when I saw them. There were probably innocent villagers who were killed, and to those players, I'm sorry but we have no way of telling who is who. To the rest, you reap what you sow. I understand that many liked this village, and hopefully the peaceful villagers will get picked up by other villages.

My village is really not a raiding village, we had little interest in PKing/PvPing, but we couldn't just let this go.
