How about charging a small amount for the game and move the server to something better? I would be willing to pay.

The server is brand new and paid for. The crashes are probably caused by something in the code and not by too many hearthlings online.

Re: Server issues: New server
How hard would it be to script something simple to keep an eye on the server and restart it if necessary?
I imagine the server runs on some sort of flavour of Linux with all the standard bells and whistles, a simple shellscript on a cronjob should suffice for something like this? I'd offer my help personally - But seeing as they've programmed this amazing game I'd say the have the capability.
When it comes to programming I suck, when it comes to administration and keeping things online... Well, thats my day job.

Re: Server issues: New server
I think it's been said over and over again, but here it is anyways.
They do manual restarts because they like to know why the server is crashing when it does. It's already been stated that it's not because of the amount of players, so obviously they want to take a look. Otherwise the problem would never be solved.
