Generally, server wipe does include character wipe... so everyone would be at base zero.

Agreed, but as said before, I started on world 4 and I'm gonna be alot less confused about what to do during my first week in world 5. I got more play time out of world four than I do more or less any store-bought game that I dump $30-50 on.
And I'll get more play time out of world five, too. And I get to play it for nothing.
Try not to think of it as a good run being cut short, but rather as a new opportunity. The playing field has been leveled. Everyone is on equal footing. If you just started playing, now's your chance to be just as good as all the other guys. Better, even!

Most people arent pissed so "everyone" isnt the right word=p.
