Recycling metal and glass

Pure metal and glass items could be melted down in a kiln/smelter to give back useable materials. Maybe not as much as it took to make the object but at least 50% of it.

I like the idea, but I think It would make more sense to treat any object that used metal to craft as feedable to the smelters, with the same chances to succeed as ore (maybe counting as industry mined ore) - so, placing a battle axe in a smelter would give you 6 chances to get one iron bar at 20% success rate per smelter slot.
