Fellow Americans such as these really make me sad. By the way, this is what our media and public school systems do to lazy brains. Hooray for McCarthy drones?Ionico wrote:American exceptionalism bullshit.

You know nothing.Butko wrote: But as I know about java network programming, Socket object only communicate with other Socket (ServerSocket if I remember right) object.

Yes it is ServerSocket and Socket for client.thezood wrote:You know nothing.Butko wrote: But as I know about java network programming, Socket object only communicate with other Socket (ServerSocket if I remember right) object.

Re: Game Development: World 5
LMAO.. ok so having kept up with this entire 138 page thread I see a pattern.....
people come on and complain about the new world and beg for the old one back, people then point out to the complainers the good things about the game, complainers get upset and complain more about the people that like the game, people that like the game complain about the complainers, then jorb will get on say how he likes the game and that everyone can pretty much piss off (no he did not use these exact words.. just paraphrasing for my point) so this should be the end of it becuase the developer has just said he likes his game where it is and is not changing it back.
But nope, the above mentioned happens again over and over lol I find this very funny. The best part is people just keep repeating the same crap over and over again.. well except for most recently the topic has switched over to not why the game is bad, but why the server is bad or good, and people go back and forth about that lol
So Jorb and Loftar I just want to know.. how long you gonna let this thread get before you just lock it??

This time they have shifted the social experiment to the forums! The game is not the issue anymore.

Cutie. Java socket classes just implement systems sockets, which also just abstracts for hardware network adapters. So one tcp socket in any operation system (Win, Ios, Bsd, Linux, Solaris...) can connect with any other socket in any os and in any program realisation. And i hope static resources (images of crafts, trees, boats, bears) hosted not at tomcat server (i think joftars use this container) but through hi optimised nginx.Butko wrote:Yes it is ServerSocket and Socket for client.
About server part - yes, it works at java cause in "new server thread" guys talk about 64bit java vm advantages. So, if revolucion communista not change java to ms solutions - its all, client and server, written in java.
No, just 12 gb of memory. And yes, garbage collectors now more effective than first jvms. And no, client-server solutions with "long sessions" ALWAYS memory consuming: you must cache session data at memory, you must cache db data in memory, any objects must interact in memory - if you save all changes to db after every step - your server just go swaaaaaap...Butko wrote:I dunno something to do with memory management? And as I remember devs wrote somewhere that one part of server is written in C or C++.
