I'm 99% sure the way to get your opinions heard and discussion active is not by being a douchebag. It works for Democrats here in America, but only because they look like Nancy Pelosi.
Hmm. I dunno about you, but the America I was raised in, most Democrats get their opinions heard by involving biased media and other political entities to support them, shouting down their opponents (not literally), and backroom deals.

On forums, it's always the loudest voice that gets heard, no matter if it's the majority or the minority.

In truth though, the best way to have a meaningful discussion and your opinions heard, should be to state everything clearly, calmly, and respectfully, involving no judgment, and backing everything with evidence.

Unfortunately, there are so few who respond to that on forums, it really makes my efforts exhausting. I'm not going to waste my time bantering words with people who don't care. Instead I'm just going to go out and do it. If people want to call me a douchebag or call my opinion "bullshit", so be it, at least I'm doing something to back up my words.
