Banning has never solved anything. If there's an exploit worth being banned for, it's the dev's mistake.

Don't be silly. Them exploiting bugs is good for the game, wether they intended to share the bug with others or not. It gets noticed > it gets squished > loftar has one less bug to squish. Keeping the exploiters in the game will only speed up this process.
Well put. Also people can get around ip bans through vpns/proxies, or by just having a dynamic IP address. Aaaand what would be more annoying? Getting banned or having everything reset to 0?

exploiting and not reporting the exploit is what should be bannable. even if its the devs mistake, you arnt helping him fix it by not telling him.

Well, I've never been banned, so I don't know if you can "inherit" as if the other character was dead or not. shrug.
