Read first post carefully. You forgot to add -r ./res into bat file.

I've added that but it still crashes when I log in, the problem is now when I put 'pause' on the end so the cmd stays open it closes regardless.

complete code i have in the run file, but it wont work, it sends an error saying that

Code: Select all

-Djava.library.path="C:\users\alex\.haven"
cant be found. no idea what to do from here

I had the same problem. Removing start from the beginning of the line seems to have fixed things for me.

Now mine just runs a command prompt and quickly disappears. Nothing happens.

I've downloaded the client from Odditown and from here a few days ago, and for both of them (as well as the copy of Gilbertus' that's on Odditown) it starts fine, but can't login - it times out every time. Default client works fine. Anyone have any idea what the issue could be?

The jars are from http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18779594/HnH/update.zip which is where the autoupdater looks according to the updater.cfg. The download I'm using is the copy from Odditown. Is there a new set of files from here that I should be using? If so, can someone mirror it off Mediafire - it's denying me access (403'ing) any files I try to download.

Edit: To clarify, it's not the 'normal' issues (tried with firewall exception, firewall disabled and firewall process ended altogether). The specific error is 'Connection timed out: connect'. haven.jar that I'm using came from the update.zip, it's 804KB.

Sorry everyone. I read the first 28 pages and just could not do it anymore. I have dl'ed both 32 and 64 bit versions although I should have the 64 bit installed (running Win 7 64-bit Ultimate version).
I did a copy/paste of the path from page one so there should be no spelling mistakes. Checked over and over for any spaces. Removed start from the beginning (why not).
Played with the paths I am sure this is the path to the Ender files and am absolute about the Java file path. Renamed the folders to make sure they did not contain any spaces (again...why not).
As you can see I am quite clueless about Java. So I have posted the original error. The one I get when I have everything the way it make sense to me.

Have mercy on me and save this gamers soul.

D:\Ron\GameInfo\HnH\HnH_Ender_x64>Start "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\ja
vaw.exe" -Djava.library.path="D:\Ron\GameInfo\HnH\HnH_Ender_x64" -Xms256m -Xmx51
2m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se -r ./res
The system cannot find the file -Djava.library.path=D:\Ron\GameInfo\HnH\HnH_Ende
r_x64.

D:\Ron\GameInfo\HnH\HnH_Ender_x64>pause
Press any key to continue . . .

(made an addition.)

Try to remove start. It works wrong in win7 in some cases.

You downloaded latest available version. And your problem is very strange. Maybe there were some login server problems? Try to logi later.
