LP from players
I miss it lol. My suggestion would be adding bones or something from the dead player, which can be studied for 1% of their LP (same gain as before i believe). Just a thought, it was always fun tracking down that thief and getting 40k or so for killing the asshole

Maybe have only murderers/thieves' remains be curios? E.g. thief's severed hand or murderer's bloody head would be awesome as curios.

The ability to create 'bounties'. If you collect a thief/murderers scent from a village claim, and are a lawspeaker/chieftain of that village, you can create a wanted poster for the criminal. If you have a copy of that wanted poster, you don't leave murder scents. You do, however, leave 'The Scent of Justice', which is a non-summonable scent, but will let you track them down and lay in wait.
The wanted poster can then be put on a post on village territory, and can have parchment loaded into it like one can do during building construction. When making the first wanted poster, the creator gets a 9 slot inventory for it they can load 'rewards' into. (Indicated on the wanted poster). Provided it has parchment loaded into it, anyone who comes by can get a copy from the post. The one to complete the contract can return to the posted wanted poster, collect their reward, which leads to the post and poster disappearing, along with all related wanted posters in peoples inventories.

Could you perhaps provide more than post-count to the thread by giving a reasoned argument why against all presented ideas?novaalpha wrote:Bad idea.

They were refineries in the old system too.Potjeh wrote:Alts = LP refineries.
New system (for example): I can waste a 10 attention/1000-something LP curio on my 10 int alt and then kill him the next day for 3.6% of that? As long as characters are limited by their int you can't really "harvest" a huge amount of LP from alts because they can't hold the big yield curios, and if you do it you're wasting a huge percent of a curio's LP for a very small boost to LP gain for the single main character. Even adding any discovery LP from the alt it's almost nothing.
Claims won't help do that either, W4 I tested the interaction of claims and inheritance. Murder LP is only from earned character LP. A character can save their LP by putting it into a claim but if the inheriting character declaims it and is then killed the murderer won't get any of that claim LP for the deed.
Let me know if I'm getting something wrong. From what I can understand the old murder LP wouldn't be too bad in the new LP system. If it has to be avoided, maybe an alternative could be making the curio study lootable?
