I've set up a 15*15 grid of wheat with 9 beehives (4 spaces between hives, 2 spaces between hives and edge of field. I've noticed that some of the tiles are repeatedly growing significantly faster than other tiles. At time of this post there are tiles that have grown 2 crops while others have yet to grow one (I've only harvested and replanted once). All the tiles are covered by all the hives, so I'd think they should all grow at about the same rate.
EDIT: Is grow speed calculated using how many beehives are around when the crop is planted? I have 4 squares off to the side unconnected to the rest of the field that were planted before any hives were built (a couple days ago), and they have yet to produce a single harvest. The slower growing fields are older than the faster growing fields.

Re: Crop Grow Speed
That shouldn't be. A single tile of crop can only be affected by one beehive, and it is checked once every growth stage.Leonon wrote:Is grow speed calculated using how many beehives are around when the crop is planted?
However, the plants do have a couple of bugs at the moment which might be related to your problem, but they should be fixed shortly.

I'm also curious about this, primarily because of lack of a more or less specific data about beehives and their effects on wheat fields.

This beehive setup makes the wheat within the square plots ready to harvest in approx. 2 real time hours. But I think this is more suited as a personal wheat farm level than as a public/village level wheat farm.

Re: Crop Grow Speed
How long should other crops take to grow after the reset? It seems to be taking an age. And they're not affected by beehives, are they?
Edit: ah, maybe I'm just impatient.

Re: Crop Grow Speed
2 RL hours to grow each grain? That seems insanely fast to me...
