price check on silk thread

i'm wondering how much silk thread is worth, i'd like to trade it for a 1-1 basis for steel of the same quality if possible?

I don't claim to be an expert either, but I would say that 1 steel bar is probably closer in worth to 5 silk thread.

i am an expert and i'd say an equitable trade would be 5 or 6 threads for a bar of steel
