I'd say that's the sum of it. Maybe we're both wrong, though. I'm guessing he got raided or harassed by OP, possibly even murdered (looks like clothes you spawn in). I also don't see any kilns, smelters, etc. there. Maybe a boar or deer got ran through there?

I think it's the OP's new character in the 2nd screenshot. He tried the HS and just named his new character gregory for convenience sake. It's confusing because you see gregory talking and you think it's the guy with the HS gregory but it's not. I doubt the OP bothered touching anything, as a new character can't do much on a claim without the black skills.

Yeah, it's dumb to post your HS when your HF is outside. Most people are aware of this. Worse mistakes have been made, I'm sure.
