It is also well documented that you are pretty much clueless.theTrav wrote:My position on that is already well documentedspectacle wrote:It would make placing your HF in the wilderness for quick transportation very risky, which means more walking, which this game has enough of already.

well, perhaps you can check the player's items without needing scents, but in order to take the items you WOULD need scents?sabinati wrote:spectacle wrote:I'd prefer if HF-stealing was limited to recovering stolen items with theft scents.

Re: Anti Alt Vault
do you have any clue how annoying it is to have something stolen from under your nose by someone who isn't faithful, and then having to punish the whole village for it?sabinati wrote:why
plus it'd help determine if certain newbies took certain things without needing scents to confirm it (for example, someone died with their keys... then we found out their neighbor had their keys only when i went to pants him)
i dunno.

Just thought of one issue: What should happen when your HF is destroyed while you're logged off?

Same as when you're force summoned, your character is brought online at a certain location.spectacle wrote:Just thought of one issue: What should happen when your HF is destroyed while you're logged off?

Yes, I also just realized that that's a problem. I have no clue how to solve it, at least not yet.spectacle wrote:Just thought of one issue: What should happen when your HF is destroyed while you're logged off?
Where would that be? If it's by the hearth's previous location, that means griefing galore.cobaltjones wrote:Same as when you're force summoned, your character is brought online at a certain location.

Re: Anti Alt Vault
Hmm, I guess I was just assuming the HF would be destroyed by rangers with scents in the first place. I didn't really think of innocent people having the HF destroyed and then being made immediately vulnerable.
Definitely would need to be addressed.
