Somebody should do up a map and edit in 'to be constructed' roads! Open to requests maybe from settlements and villages? I'd definitely pay the workers with food in exchange for connecting my settlement to some sort of highway.

You can actually add those to the public map using the polyline feature. Look at the Eastern River as an example. http://www.maplib.net/map.php?id=6075

Independent road builder here. After scouting around, I could see that the road builders starting fro Brodgar are having challenges regarding claims and ridges. Therefore I went a little bit ahead and have started building a road three pavements wide eastward, keeping it straight as possible (taking consideration of cart traffic).

Road builders starting from Brodgar are welcome to connect their road to the west end or start building from it, keeping a straight rigid path towards Brodgar.

I think there may be a few claims that are on that path, but its been a while since I've walked on that side of the river.

There's an incomplete road going due south from SC to the grassland, so the east-west stretch of the Brodgar-SC road should probably aim for that.

This. Also people, do keep in mind that building roads also means it will bring more people to the area around the road. So if you don't want your beloved hunting game to become level one think before connecting to a 4 tile wide road.

Let me ask a question to all you independent roadbuilders out there. How many tiles wide do you make your roads? I tend to make 'em one tile wide, then go back and extend them after I've traveled a fair distance.

Best would be to start with 1 tile and go from there. You could pave a 4 tile wide road but if noone is going to use it..
