You have the entire opponent's cooldown to switch out of DoG, daemmonium.

As for using DoG in succession, I find it manageable if it's combined with a mix of Dash and Slide, and the occasional Oak. Then again, my fighting style uses manoeuvres actively and moves passively, for lack of a better description.

But really, this whole thing is mostly me trying to learn something from you guys, since I could never trust a bunny enough to spar with you. Which is a damn shame, because I heard from a guy that got killed by Nao that it was the best fight he ever had :(

Well, i killed off my own character for fun before leavin this
time, so you'd have to make an alt for me to use if you want
me to show you some stuff =o

When you play defensively the opponent basically has to catch
you while you're putting your offence moves out, then pile all
of his combo on you at once, For example, since you use oak
i could open with a charge with med and lead into 5 charges
and 2 slides then go for a combo like punch flex punch no pain
flex once or twice then punch again and no pain two more times
and then drop a KHTO, most likely drawing blood. if all you were
doing was trying to dash for 6 IP, i'd get my first attack off and
you might swap to slide, then you're stuck on defense from there.

I open with DoG and maintain it as long as possible precisely because I don't want my opponent to beat me to Flex. Dashes are there more for maintaining defence than IP.

yeah, i know, but it they open with a punch then
go to no pain you've got to regain 25 percent of
your bar in 2 moves, which forces you to use slide
and they can keep doing punch no pain until you're
gone. and if you used DoG while they did that,
you would only get a total of 2-3 coins before they
make contact and heat will be dropped to around
0 with them gaining advantage, and their punches
then do more of your def bar, with your slide being
less and less effective.

Punch, no pain, no pain gets you to 0 if you do
nothing at all, around 40 if you do slide, the next
punch does 50 of your def bar.

Before saying anything I'll just say I'm an "average" guy and nothing close to a pro.

That being said, Evil Eye would be -2IP, -2 Intensity and "long" CD to counter the atk bar gain of NPNG. -25% of your def bar is still there. I think evil eye counters NPNG, but it doesnt cover up all "holes" to be a good enough counter. Or at least I see it that way.

-Edit: Altho on a second thought, that's pretty much all you have to counter it.

That's why my style is more manoeuvre than move oriented, long cooldowns are less of a problem that way (though they're still a problem).

Maybe you dont want to explain it deeper, but may I ask what do you mean by that? You focus more on swapping maneuvers effectively and tend to use moves with faster cds? That's what I'm getting.

Nah, I'm focusing on swapping manoeuvres to allow me use of moves with longer cooldowns.

but 2 no pains still doesn't give enough med
for you to avoid another no pain along with
a punch...

And if i use them then get out of your range
med will likely wear off by the time i use my
second no pain, so it's of little effect. It sounds
like you swap between your maneuvers alot,
and if that's all you really focus on, then you
may be watching bars, cooldowns and Initiative,
but if i block your path to me when moving
back you're then forced to come after me and
can't focus 100% on your maneuvers and the
chance of swapping them around perfectly gets
a little lower...
