there is an error for the recipe for straw doll... it uses plant fibers and not string (plant fibers are more specific than string)

wiki has it correct.

At this point, this thread needs to die. It was great at the start of the world for collecting the new info and getting it into the wiki, but at this point, there really isn't anything else to add.

Not likely to happen soon, as pointed out previously no time is going into Haven and Hearth while Salem is still under development, however there is a chance someone hasn't found something yet since there are quite a few 'stupid rare' curios.

Yes, there's a chance there's some stupid rare curio out there. However, at this point, it's one thread. A single person can manage that. When w5 started, it would have been hundreds of threads, so someone has sense enough to start a collection thread so everything would be lumped together. The table by the OP on the first post is great, so it deserves linking into the 'Welcome' thread. Otherwise, people can dig this thread up or just start a new one for a new curio. If the OP is still around and editing this, then he can see the new thread and stick the curio back into his chart on the starter. If he's not, even more reason to let this thread die. It will be losing its usefulness because that table won't be kept up to date (other than a mod doing it).

(Just another reason why forums are great for collecting information, but horrible for sharing it.)

Funny.... nobody has posted the information for the Weird Beetroot yet?

Well, you all are in luck today! Just found one and I have some initial information for everyone.

A bit of information that isn't posted elsewhere: The root is pulled up as an extra not as a replacement for a beet. This leads me to believe that it is based on a tile being harvested, not on the number of beets being pulled up. Given what few things others have said, I'm more inclined to consider this possibility. (Only other poster said hadn't seen one in about 4000 beets, which would be about 1300 harvests at full nature.)

Size is 1x1 (on wiki already)

Attn: 2
Study Time: ???
Base LP gain: ???
Rarity: Currently unknown. I'd rough guess 1 in 1000 (0.1%) to 1 in 2000 (0.05%) (See statement above.)
Quality: equal to plant being harvested.

I'll update these when I get the information. My brother nabbed it before I could get my alt logged on to test it with. (He'll post or give it to me to post.)

Can you replant it?
The LP isn't great, and the time is almost as long if not longer than shewbread.

If they weren't so rare they'd be desirable.

Seems like it'd be relatively easy to get q100+ on it, but then again with it being so rare I doubt it would be efficient anyway.

No idea. My bro snagged it before I could try. I don't expect you could farm just for weird beetroots, though.

I was figuring the LP earned was somewhere along the lines of other lowgrade curios. Given the size and attn, it's something anyone can squeeze in if they're not already min/maxing curios.

Agreed. It'd be easy to get q200+ if the world runs long enough. The same can't be said for some of the other curios.

I was hoping more along the lines of replanting one would have a higher chance of obtaining one from the planted one, almost like finding a new species or something then attempting to breed exclusively for it.

I doubt it's the case, but worth a test.
