You measure participant's power level with a freshly spawned alts, if he takes off exactly half the bar he's legit, and you proceed to swear him into the tournament village so he can village port into it's walls. No way to break the rules like this, really, the worst that can happen is having your 0 LP power measurement alt killed.

I was thinking building a maze around my claim, and extend it gradually once my brickwall is finished. Seems more fun than quality grinding to me.
Hope I won't be too lazy and find the courage to do it.

My plan (until I became aware of a counter being made to it) was to banner all sides by one, and then gradually make a maze around my whole village. The initial bannerblocking of rams would be a lot to make depending on size, but once you get past that, NO problems, every day of a decent sized flax field could expand the needed time in days to ram into the place by at least 2 days.SuchANerd wrote:I was thinking building a maze around my claim, and extend it gradually once my brickwall is finished. You were thinking also making the walls of your maze with banners if I understand correctly ?DatOneGuy wrote:My plan (until I became aware of a counter being made to it) was to banner all sides by one, and then gradually make a maze around my whole village. I was thinking just plain old brickwall. It is a lot of work however.

I was thinking in terms of 'RAM Maze'.SuchANerd wrote:You were thinking also making the walls of your maze with banners if I understand correctly ?DatOneGuy wrote:My plan (until I became aware of a counter being made to it) was to banner all sides by one, and then gradually make a maze around my whole village. To make your own village an HV.
You banner all sides but one
In such a way where there is enough room to place a new ram after each brickwall area is broken, but a banner prevents it from moving farther. Same can be done with statues (better). Had great success in W3, however there was talk (after I had my 156 crucs ready to run steel continuously) of making it so that you could push over statues or such easily to give them no hitbox. (GAYYYY).
Basically the idea is nerfed and I'm sure that if I do it it'll probably be considered brinkmanship and nuked when someone realizes it would take them 11 days to get into my shit and no one is willing to try.
EDIT: That translated very poorly in text, I'll make an illustration in excel after I eat.

Why not just use CR poles? A lot less resource intensive, and still indestructible.

I see. You are talking about a 100% defensive maze...
I was more thinking about an esthetic maze, for fun. Something like this, but all around the city :

Yes, they will now work, and I may consider using them instead.GrimEggbert wrote:Why not just use CR poles? A lot less resource intensive, and still indestructible.
I still have to actually get a chance to ask jorb or loftar if this is nukable/against the rules as long as I leave only one area to be attacked from.
Of course by now stating it I'm sure someone else will try it too.

Re: Is mid/late game too easy?
I've had the idea of using CR poles forever, but never bothered to try because it I almost certainly assumed it would be considered nukable if ever discovered.
EDIT: Even if you still make it "technically" ramable by leaving one section open brick wall, there's ways to do it that make it impossible for anyone to get in within 7 days, which would render any scents they have useless.
