Flippers
I just thaught of this and i had to post it. I think it would be nice to to able to make some flippers which would increase your swimming speed so you can cross a river faster. The flippers would be made out of would and leather i guess.

Well i agree i want boats to but flippers are just a side thing.

I'd rather see slow makeshift rafts. It would ensure you won't drown but it will take longer to cross.
