The game worked fine yesterday. I assume this has something to do with recent (>24 hours ago) updates, any way to fix on my own end or is this also happening to others?

Since the game client is written in Java and the error is related to shared object imports, I have to say that the problem is probably local to your system. Maybe your Java installation is borked?
