Like I said, the point is to compare player skill rather than character skills, stats and equipment. Though the equipment list can be expanded as long as everyone agrees on what's allowed.

Well IMO having identical chars and gear would be basically boredomfest, and I'm suggesting to allow some versatility with certain amount of LP and ability to choose gear.

you're missing the point of what was originally suggested, and suggesting something entirely different. if you want to do what you are suggesting, then by all means, organize it.
