Like all politics, it boils down to money. The stronger Russian players are doing everything in their might to keep the general Russian population away from the free market, so that they have no choice but to buy from them at extortionate prices. Just the other day I read on H&H.ru how Portgas and Co killed someone for the terrible crime of trading with non-Russians. The whole Russia vs everyone else thing was started and is being aggressively maintained (seriously, you should read the things they say about the bourgeois bogeymen) by a bunch of thugs hell-bent on exploiting the common Russian players. So yeah, it's basically Russian Mafia.

wow, i did read that thread to p16, but couldnt understand half of it, just learned some russians too saw portgas as an idiot.

There was also a part where they were taking down names of dissidents, so they can execute everyone who dares speak ill of the glorious Russian Alliance.

Problem with 'open-minded' is the case of Roadville who claimed (and everyone claimed they were) nothing but a peaceful farming village who introduced new Russians into the game to let them flourish, if this were true I would have left them alone, bunch of lying scum were lying of course (because lolrussian?), making it much harder to trust the good Russians who aren't raiding lying scumbags.

Anyway, if my mind isnt playing tricks on me, wasnt the whole "Russian alliance" thing created to try to stop the killings the russian were getting during W2~ when "all dem russians were lagging the server" ?

That's just a convenient bit of propaganda. The people genociding Russians in W2 were Klaue and co, and Bottleneck's own Onionfighter killed several of these guys (killed Klaue multiple times), but they conveniently leave this part out when they're scaring low-level Russian players into submission with the tales of bourgeoisie bogeymen.

Does it really matter anymore? No less than half the people involved in this of late haven't been around for all of W3, let alone W2 lol.

That being said, I bet the russian genociders killed plenty of non-russian players too. They were probably just making shit up to stir drama lol.

Yeah, their favourite pastime was camping RoB to kill anyone who ports in to trade (in world 2 RoB was the centre of trade, even more so than Constantinople).

Loftar added Stonemansions to the game, Warri and me had no idea where to put all these stones. So we ported all to RoB and used them as Deathtrap (it was possible to port to RoB in w2). Loftar removed them later
