Hlidarendi is recruiting!

Post by Sitting_Bill »

We are recruiting again :). What we are looking for:

-farmers
-cooks, who have another profession on the side. Preferably farming :)
-one experienced miner

Our crops are of reasonable quality, so people farming and cooking skills already quite high will be preferred. However, if you are not experienced, we will put you on general labour while your skills improve to the point at which you can harvest the crops/mix the dough/grind the sausages.

What our village offers:

(1) An established farm, with animals.
(2) Brickwalled, with the idol separately brickwalled from the rest.
(3) Access to all common metals.
(4) Steady curio (both crafted and foraged) and food supply.
(5) Plenty of space to build, and free reign to develop the infrastructure of the village as you see fit.
(6) A small treefarm with quite nice q trees.
(7) A friendly and communal atmosphere :), we all get on really well.

I would like the economic principle within the village to be "mutual aid" rather than an internal barter economy. This means, if you need help from someone of a different profession, you ask them for it, and when you are asked, you should try to give it, even if they do not directly give you something in return - what helps the members of Hlidarendi will help Hlidarendi. Everyone is free to keep curios that they find, but sharing your surplus, and helping the lesser members catch up, would be strongly encouraged.

The members of the village are from the UK, USA, Canada, Taiwan, Australia, Germany, Portugal and Morocco at the moment - if you want to know about timezones.

Just post some details about yourself here - age, what you would like to do in the village, previous experience of the game, timezone, and anything else you feel would be relevant, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

I am an 18 UK Farmer/forager who plays throughout the day, but usually late at night (however I will log in throughout the day for quick intervals to farm crops, change curiosity's or go on a quick forage session if I'm waiting for something)

My character right now is a random hermit and he's fairly new (I've only just set up a farm and have PE x EX skill of 100) I lost my main character due to right clicking a bear that was partially hidden behind a tree, it looked odd and I thought it might be some kind of abandoned crate or something. Obviously I was instakilled, I however swallowed my anger and made a new character.. But forgot to write a hearth secret so I spawned miles away from my ancestors home.. I found where I was on the map and travelled across the world to where I needed to be (it took me about 4 real time hours), when I arrived I went for a forage and ended up being chased by two boars, I died.

After this I made a new character, who has no ancestor now and this is where I am now. Clearly I lack in combat skills (I don't like this games combat system) I know what I'm doing to a certain extent, and if I don't know what I'm doing I can always look on the wiki, purchased skills of note include: Boat building, Foraging, Farming, Leather working and of course Yeomanry.

I am willing to travel to you if you show me where you are on the map, I am currently near the north border, close to the east corner, but not that close.

I speak English as a first language, and I can speak Welsh (poorly)

My brother and I are interested in joining. We're from the US and we are in the EST. I'm 23 and he is 18. We are both brand-new to the game (just made our first accounts less than 2 days ago), but we both are enjoying is so far. Both of us are eager to learn if we have someone willing to teach (we keep the wiki open at all times, lol). Thanks for your consideration and good luck finding members :D

Hello, I'd like to join your village! =D
About:
I love in the pacific time zone, USA.
I played for most of W3, god help me if I remember my old username.
My playtime will be around 2-3 hours a day, around 2-6pm Pacific time.
Preferences:
My preferred profession would be a hunter, other than that I can do anything besides mining and farming.
I can live and have my hearth basically anywhere.
Unfortunately...:
I will have to start a new character.
Since I mainly played during W3, I am somewhat new to the updates, I have a small grasp on the new curiosity system.

I'm a pretty experienced player, my last char died on about 1.2 mil LPs.
Feeling like starting over with this clean account, guess I'll need a jumpstart pack for my new char so I wanted to start in a village, not hermittin like what I've always done before, I like building and making things look pretty in-game, and working together sounds fun too!! I rarely use alts so I kinda divide my LPs for surv, cooking, and combat skills for my protection, etc. before, but now that if I can start in a village I can be an expert farmer without worrying about the rest. :DD Now that'd be cool.
