That's the comon belief. However, I tested it out. High Q board/block grinder produced an extra 4pts of sausage Q and lined up with the formula

(2 x MetalQ + board Q + block Q) / 4

for grinder final Q.

well, there was a lot of testing done with more than only 2 sausages in W3 on this.
So, maybe those sausages were just teasing us

Of course they might have changed it, but I havnt found that wood Q affects it this world.

Finally got around to updating. Been very busy and got raided a little while ago so trading's been less of a concern lately. Most metal Q's have been updated, points have been fiddled with. PM with inquiries if you have any

Edit: Perhaps they changed the wood affecting Q thing for a short time? They were messing with finery forges too at one point. Anyway, I know I did get positive test results in the past, but it's confirmed that it doesn't do it any longer. Thread modified.
