Non-iron authority objects
Currently the only way you can really expand a village is by having a meaningful supply of iron. While people who don't have access can get small amounts of iron, it's very hard to get any meaningful quantity. There needs to be other forms of authority objects that take different metals, and or no metals at all. The city of Brodgar is having its growth stunted by this problem.

Golden Chief Statue?
Silver Bear Statue? (Pretty much a statue of a bear, also taking the amount of bear teeth and bones a bear normally gives.)
Village banners that use copper or tin?
Or just let them use any bar of metal?

Bronze statues would be pretty cool too.
Also, it'd be cool if statues recorded the name of the person who held that position when the statue was completed that can be read by right clicking it like a runestone. This would be especially cool once the game shifts to be more blood-line oriented.

Yeah having the statues marked would be great.
Maybe even having statues of town members, it would record their name and how they looked at the time.
Possibly a caption too.

That would require ever piece of clothing to be made into statue form. As it is allot of work I'm not quite sure the devs would be interested in doing that...
Also, I would image seeing quite a bit of naked man with a tophat on statues.

Isn't that pretty much just the chieftain statue, only with a top hat?

How about replacing iron with silk, as silk, while rare, can be made anywhere by anybody with enough effort.

Also requiring iron for the cauldron, but then, its a one time cost of 6 cast, unlike the % chance of getting a single wrought from a number of blooms.Yolan wrote:How about replacing iron with silk, as silk, while rare, can be made anywhere by anybody with enough effort.
