You are not being too harsh. I have been following the elder scrolls since the first opus... hell I still have the floppys for Arena somewhere. And Oblivion was the worst of them all. It got shiny graphims, but that's about it.

I have no doubt fans were able to salvage the game by modding... but this game is a shame for any serious fan of the elder scrolls. And don't get me started on what they did to the fallout franchise.

Word.

I have been playing fallout since the first, and also enjoyed fallout 3.

Morrowind just had that atmosphere, others dont.

As for Oblivion - it is good only for: graphics, plant collecting, not drinking poisons.

I saw loftar posted the trees, they look pretty cool and junk. My main concern is though, are there any pictures of how characters intend to look, or are you sticking with the very cartoony deal in the first screenshots? (Not that it's a bad thing, just curious as to the atmosphere in this regards)

I'd really like to see what a scarier guy looks like, instead of the smiles and hugs types I've seen so far.

Certainly, in taking revenge, a man is but even with his enemy; but in passing it over, he is superior; for it is a prince’s part to pardon. - A wise friend.

Btw. something else... if Salem or HnH will ever get a monthly Pay System for VIPs or whatever, pls make fair prices and dont fuck the EU as every other MMORPG. I m rly pissed off games, where i have to pay 10€, while the same amount of time costs 10$.

Even though it is a good idea to make the game ftp and give 2 VIP game packages each around 5$ (=3,5 EURO !!) with one for design (clothes, buildings etc) and one for small advantages (+20-50% Exp bonus, etc)

No there should be no V.I.P. packets. Subscription for everyone or only cosmetic stuff. Nothing that give someone advantage just because he is paying. Maybe only stuff like ressurecting scroll or something that gives you ability to inherit more LP from dead character than normally. Like instead of losing 75% of LP, you lose 50% or even less. That could be payable.

Don't ever expect HnH to offer any pay system. It's run on good will, and it needs to stay that way. If you feel you need to help by giving back, there's a Donate button on the bottom of the pages. Seatribe uses this to offset the costs of running the server.

XP bonuses in games that have no upper bounds have no place. I'm looking forward to seeing how Salem is monetized, but that is just borked beyond all belief!

Why not? There's plenty of F2P MMOs that have VIP type stuff that isn't game breaking.

Do you guys really understand WHAT HnH and Salem are? Damn noobs

is it just me or is that one of the largest contradictions of all time..

only cosmetic stuff or nothing at all
ability for better inheritance
