fucking troll skins, how do they work?

It may check how many mined tiles around this one before spawning a troll. Or troll spawn chance calculated only if there should be cave-in if there weren't supports. Or maybe you made not enough snakes?

This isn't a bug. It's a temporary workaround to another bug that hasn't been fixed yet. (Or maybe it has and Loftar hasn't taken the workaround out yet.) You're clue for the day will cost you one q30+ Eidelweiss.

It got to 6% then I had to log out, meaning it's at 4% right now...

Just log in an alt and sit him there all day.

Although if it's only a ~q150 skin then I don't know why you're bothering making leather out of it.
