I do not know if this has been suggested but here goes anyways.
Those of you who have probably notice sometimes when you chop down a tree sometimes its near the water, your wall, or a cliff and when it falls you cannot get to it due the obstacle and it leaves a ruined image of the place your at or claim.
Now I wonder if we can get a tool, something like a maybe lasso or hook that can snag these logs and lets you pull it, it can drain stamina to do so but will help a lot I feel for players that want a nice landscape.

you can pick up logs from the water, while you are in a boat. for everything else, there's planning.

Game should stop assuming things can fall where other things are.
If something is there, nothing else should end up there, period.

yeah p much this but the log falling code is so old it's not even funny. and they have no time to mess about with it.DatOneGuy wrote:Game should stop assuming things can fall where other things are.

Lets have fallen logs block a player's movement past it...
Like really, you can walk through a giant log?
But then this will make people who deforest trees a living troll. And a tree hater.

No, but I can usually step over most logs in the forest, even if that means sitting down and then swinging my legs over. In my part of the woods, there are two old oak trees that I can't get my arms halfway around. There's a few maples nearly that size. The rest of the trees, well, they're cottonwoods, birches, etc, and those are at most a few feet around.dra6o0n wrote: Like really, you can walk through a giant log?
Now, I don't live in the redwood forest in California. The trees there are so large you can drive a car through them. (Quite literally. There's an old dead redwood they just built the road through.)

perhaps we can use rope to move fallen logs, like lifting the thingy at distance, you move it at crawil speed and it'll drain stamina

Given the idea that you can "lift" an entire log over your head, you'd need to pick it up at the center point. Again, I gotta pop in with a bit of realism and say that you most likely drag it. I'm not a lumberjack, but I've done more than enough clearing of wood for a variety of reasons, and logs can weigh a couple hundred pounds (100+ kilos) on the low end. Why not just be allowed to pick it up as long as you can touch any (reasonable) part of the graphic.Daji wrote:perhaps we can use rope to move fallen logs, like lifting the thingy at distance, you move it at crawil speed and it'll drain stamina

or for realism, use a bull to carry logs on a distance? it's horse job but we don't have any for now (and I doubt we will but suprise me Jorb :) )
