idiot #1: "Hey we're making D3!"
idiot #2: "yeah d2 was extremely successful... wonder how we can completely ruin the franchise?"
Idiot in charge: "how about forced online play and a pay2win cash shop?"
It's almost insulting that they would pull this on loyal fanboys. I just wish the gaming community on large would think before they support such shitty business.

this nerdgirl doesn't seem to see the ugly chain hanging around "pretty" things in the world.Kewltist wrote:Why complain over things that just are to be sold to masses.. just have your fun and play something different .)

If you just try looking a little further you can find many pretty things in the world ;P (and that applies to games too!)

Re: D3 announcement
I really can't call myself a modern gamer or much of any kind of gamer lately. And no I don't pay for power and I never will. The only game where I allow cheating is single player where I am the only one who has to suffer the consequences of the imbalance that cheating creates. And let's be super serious here buying shit with real money is cheating and now apparently sanctioned and encouraged too.Kewltist wrote:@Avu, I kind of agree with you on many points (that of me being a retard too) but.. you are modern gamer too. Do you pay for power?

there are still new games following old principles.. they just aren't being advertised nearly as much..
Path of Exile (like old diablo.. just a lot more grimdark.. yay!)
or from different genre Bloodline Champions if you like pvp.. (you can't buy anything that helps u in the game which is kind of nice..)
if you know what you're looking for you can find it .)

Your just as dark like diablo grimdark thingie is pay to win too there is no such thing as FREE.
Ingame perks...Path of Exile is 100% free to play, for everyone, forever. Our website will allow the purchase of many in-game perks and aesthetic upgrades

I think misc changes like having ur char look slightly different and stuff like that is ok (like LoL, you don't actually have to pay to win, you just pay real money to look cooler). But actually being able to buy items is kind of retarded.

;P blue fireballs (but hey it is paying for power, you can meet people who are afraid of colors!)The purchasable perks do not convey any gameplay benefit, but help you create a unique look for your character
And in LoL.. you did pay for power, there are lots of runes things that helped you in the game..

Re: D3 announcement
If they want an MMO for people to make money (as some believe this will help 'pros' do) they should be going with something like Entropia Universe. That's a great idea, if attached to a more fantasy/better game overall it'd probably pwn.

Omg... I think I know what game you're talking about... you can't do ANYTHING in that game without reaching for your debit card. I think I was collecting sweat from animals before I said "screw this game" and left.DatOneGuy wrote:If they want an MMO for people to make money (as some believe this will help 'pros' do) they should be going with something like Entropia Universe.
