then you fucked it up whit the "nuked /rf/" i mean, i see how a nuked place is more vulnerable then a un-nuked one........Radiant_Maelstrom wrote:I meant what I meant actually. /rf/ with no place for a ram was still bashable. The hearthvaults today, leaves a space for a ram with absolutely no way to protect it is more protected than /rf/. (That's the weak example too)

What Radiant means is that the illegal hearthvault /rf in world 3 is easier to penetrate than a legal hearthvault today.

ok, all joking aside. what then do you mean. if you have expressed this in another post b4, pls give me the url. i agree i don't like tellin the same story over and over again, but to me it sounds like you want peeps to hardly move until they done one hell of a job getin to where they can actually swim.Jackard wrote:you are young yet and know not what you speak. i will forgive you
so i guess i am slow, young or insert any other explicative in here you wish, just pls explain so my thick brain can comprehend your idea.
and i act "antagonistic" when i have peeps who wanna say cryptic or broadbased answers and such without explaining themselves, like that's all they need to say and we just take it as law. it gives off an air of snubness or even smugness. both attitudes I can't stand

bigger world becomes, less player interaction, less interesting stuff to find, less enjoyable mundane travel. just bland macaroni shit as far as eye cant see
make small world with new mapgen, alter resource distribution and add mechanics like claim decay + kinning villages to accommodate size = better game
w3 worst ever

Actually in my opinion world 3 was one of the least broken (almost thanks to parabolic pipe product). World 1 was pretty much prototype, world 2 had the coal bug, world 3 had the parabolic pipes, world 4 had the LP mine, and hunting imbalance, world 5 have rampant bug abuse and hearthvault exploitation.

As for me - I had more "player interaction" in W3 somehow.
Actually more of a friendly interaction, wich lasts longer. We got almost no wafare there and lots of neighbour-trading stuff.
And settling in 5 - 10 minutes boating distance was considered as neighbours! It was cool not to have border-sparkings back there...
This W5 is more hostile in both pvp and pve matters. as for pve - i'm okay with that, but pvp... again, "what happened to just talking to others?"
As for neighbours in W5 - we had four - three villages and one personal-claimed fort. we were the first to settle in that area, all 4 arrived later. 3 of 4 were building too close to us, and 3 of 4 were super-alt-claiming-all-the-fucking-land-around to become 'cooler'. meanwhile 2 of 4 were initially hostile towards us...
by now 2 places are destroyed and 2 are abandoned. we are stuck in those stupid gaint alt-claims. No one to interact with, no space for anyone to settle, anyone we see will eather run or hearth. And those who stay - they arent likely to talk. So much interaction, yeah!
And you know what? All that happened as a result of measures, initially intended to do the opposite! what an irony...
They were the world 'shrink'(not-expanding) making people settle closer and bot-imba elimination by curio system, wich resulted in excessive alt-claiming and alt-warriors(more raids, more fear, more abandoning said super-claims). I do like the curio sys really, but J&L need to do something with those alts!(or at least claims!)
Nevertheless, there were some pros to W5. More adrenaline rush of pvp(the one you get only with permadeath). The holy rage and eager of revenge. The feeling of justice being done mixed with the fear of losing, and the smell of victory at the end of honest 1vs1 or 2vs2 fight. what a feeling! ^^
