Ideas for the End of the World (Five)...

Well, even though I am not in favor of a reset personally (I just settled down, got a good spot, decent stats, and don't feel like wandering aimlessly through the woods again anytime soon), many doomsayers are crying for Armageddon. Now, we all know Jorb loves Great Floods, but floods are SO passe. I move we devise a new end of the world scenario, maybe even one where the players can participate. Here are some ideas:

1. Attack of the 500' Tall Cock!!
   A giant rooster is set upon the world to raze the planet, nuking everything it steps on, breathing atomic fire, and shooting lasers from its friggin' eyeballs!! Hearthlings can cower in fear and wait for the end, which will come 72 hours after the rooster is summoned... or you can FIGHT!! For those that fight back against the rooster and survive, and the H&H community as a whole is able to slay it before the 72 hours is up, those players get to keep their stats. Anyone who dies in honorable combat against Ultra-Mega Cock can inherit at the beginning of the next world with half of the death penalty... but if you just run and hide, no reincarnation. You make new character.
2. Survivor - Fire Island
   Instead of water, volcanoes erupt and start filling the map with instant killing lava, shrinking the amount of land until only five tiny islands equaling half a macrogrid square are left, and then Thunder Dome rules apply. Last five standing get to keep their stats in next world. Everyone else just becomes future heartlings' gasoline...
3. Random Head Explosion
   Life goes on like normal, and no reset is announced, until patient zero in a new bizarre disease reveals themeselves, as a random player's head suddenly explodes for no reason. After that, the devs announce the end of the world, and let pandemonium ensue, but first gives everyone +1,000,000 to all stats and skills, all thw while hearthling's heads randomly explode. You never know when your time is coming, but man, will the end times be fun until then.

lol'd at all of these, but dont keep stats, that would just be silly, the one to do it would travel the world killing everyone before they even make a cone cow.

they should just get a statue depicting them wrestling the giant cock (i do mean rooster, but if jorb draws it you know what would happen)

also the giant cokc does seem best. or instead of that all chickens that are spawned attack you but have the stats of a lvl 5 troll or something...grasslands wouls never bee the same...nor would anyplace with a chicken coop

^^^ LOL which is why i have yet to unlock the swimming skill on this character

Swimming seriously isn't even very deadly anymore. Even at 10 con you can survive swimming 4 or 5 tiles. This isn't W3 anymore.

yes but when the game laggs as hard as it does, and i dc as much as i do, Swimming 1 tile = death

on my last two accounts (ive only died 3 times in this game)

i die by swimming, 1 lagg and 1 DC

Just click the other shore and not the water then. Even if the game laggs you'll end up safely on the other side of the river instead of sitting idle in the water.
It's also a toggle so if you don't want to swim you don't have to turn it on.

make the server go down for 5 hours, and then when we log in, we are logging into world 6 !!


(kinda like the downtime right now)
