Re: Ideas about the siege system
There has to be the possibility to take over idols. Too much nonsense comes from the inability to do so right now. The problem is to create fair and balanced conditions for a takeover. Just reaching the idol itself might not be enough as a necessary condition.

What about this? Destruction of the idol in three phases.burgingham wrote:There has to be the possibility to take over idols. Too much nonsense comes from the inability to do so right now. - First stage: as soon as the siege ram is dried idol becomes vulnerable until you take it down to 75% then it becomes invulnerable again and launches a random timer between 4 and 16 hours to become vulnerable again.
- Second stage: after the first timer expires you bash it down to 25% and yet again another random timer is aplied now between 1 and 4 hours in which the idol becomes invulnerable until that time passes.
- Third stage: three chances to defend it are enough, if you can't fight now there's no reason you should be the owner of this land.

I kind of like the idea of 3 stages, i just dont know how much i like randomized timers.

In my opinion those are needed due the timezone differences, wouldn't be cool that all attacks happened when you are supposed to be sleeping or at work, at least if those are random you've got the chance of it swaping to your timezone and you don't have to rely on the enemy fucking it up while attacking.bmjclark wrote:I kind of like the idea of 3 stages, i just dont know how much i like randomized timers.
